Talk about using old paving bricks in landscaping, and the first thing that comes to mind is walkways. Even so, there are plenty of other uses for them you may not have thought of-here are just a few we thought were worth mentioning.
Antique paving bricks are the flat, relatively thin bricks that builders used to cover roads and driveways in the mid-1800’s. They were an excellent way to control the mud so that carriages didn’t get stuck, and they were relatively easy to clean.
Not all reclaimed brick is suitable for re-purposing. Some of it may have irreparable cracks or missing pieces that would make the block unusable for most applications.
